Michaels also produces 10 exclusive private brands including Recollections, Studio Decor, Bead Landing, Creatology, Ashland, Celebrate It, Art Minds, Artist's Loft, Craft Smart and Loops & Threads. The corporate headquarters are located in Irving, Texas. The average Michaels store now contains 40,000 different products in 18,200 square feet of selling space. The stores sell a selection of arts, crafts, framing, floral, wall d├ęcor, bakeware, beads, scrapbooking and seasonal merchandise for hobbyists and do-it-yourself home decorators.

We brought in an autographed baseball jersey to be custom framed in your Downers Grove, IL store in late May, early June. Everything was fine when we picked it up. Once it was home is when the issues began. About 3 weeks later, a heavy item was dropped on the floor in the vicinity of the picture, about 5ft away, (the picture itself was NOT touched or dropped) and the entire glass shattered on it just from the vibration! We took it back in to have the glass replace and were charged over $300.00 JUST TO REPLACE THE GLASS. We originally only paid a little more than that amount to get it done in the first place! My husband spoke to Anthony in the framing department and said there was nothing he could do. When we got it back 2 weeks later it looked horrible. The jersey was all bunched at the tops and not smoothed out. I was not happy with the work I saw at that point. This week I notice that the matting around a picture we had inside the frame was pulling away ( by the next day it was completely off). I was shocked at the incredibly poor quality of work on this picture. First the glass shatters and now it was coming apart! I contacted Claudine who is the framing department manager who said to bring it in to the store. When I mentioned to her on the phone about the glass breaking only after a month owning it she told me that she was told that it was dropped and there was nothing they could do about that. That is COMPLETELY UNTRUE! Never was the picture dropped or even touched to cause the glass to complete shatter in the way it did, and only after a short time period. Where she got this information? I don't know because that is not what Anthony was told by my husband. Was the glass set too tight? Was it defective? WHO KNOWS!?!? Now we are without the picture AGAIN due to the matting coming undone! Dealing with this picture and your Downers Grove store has been a nightmare! I was visiting pembroke a few weeks ago and went to check out their Michaels store since it's a fairly new store, the one in my hometown is old and sometimes I don't get very much help from their staff, as soon as I walked into this store in Pembroke I was greeted with a big smile and Hello by a cashier, I was looking for kinetic sand, a manager named Samantha walked towards me and asked if I needed help, she took me to where the sand was, told me how it works showed me all the available colors, very friendly profesional and knowledgeble, she really enjoyed talking about the product,this manager gave me the best customer service I have ever had , all michaels should have managers like this lady, thank you for an amazing expirience.

I shop at Michaels several times a month and the staff is always so nice and helpful. However, I was in the Kingston Pike store the Saturday before Easter. I have several grandkids and had a handful of baskets, and goodies to go in them. I ask the lady in the floral department, how do you tie a bow around a basket and she said, we don't give free tutorials. ARE you kidding me? I put everything down and left. Help like this will ruin your business.

I purchase some dried flower arrangements and beading supplies from the above store. Unfortunately the assistant only handed me one bag and I assumed that the beading supplies were in with the flowers. When I arrived home I discovered no beading supplies. I phone the store and yes they were still at the checkout. I kust say that only 2 w3ickets were open and the line ups were enormous. I live 60 klms from the store so I asked them to courier out the supplies as they were required right away for a wedding Saturday, they mailed them out which still means I had to travel 20 klms to the post office to get them. Disgusting service but they get away with it because they are the only people speacializing in these goods. They have 100% mark up on practically every item. It is time another store opened they deserve the competition for their poor customer service.

Michael's is a poor excuse for what it stands for!!!!! Other stores sell for MUCH LESS. When you try to contact the company and get some kind of restitution---you might as well forget it!!! IF YOU WANT TO SPEND A LOT MORE MONEY--when you can get the same produce elsewhere for MUCH cheaper--then do shop at this LOUSY store!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEWARE OF MICHAELS. RUDE Customer Service also!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ToysRUs is cheaper than Michaels!!!! This company is a rip-off!!!!!! Also--if you have a problem--there is NO customer service email to write to. You either sit for ages on the phone or snail mail them--by which time it's too late to get anything done. I would give this store a -5 stars if I could!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I shop at Burlington Michaels because it is the most convenient location. Over the past 5 months I am disgusted with the employees. They don't greet you, the glare at you if you ask them a question. I was in about 2 weeks ago I bought picture frames when they were buy one get one free. The cashier threw all 6 into a cheap plastic bag not wrapping them are caring if she was causing any damage to them. When I suggested that maybe she could put them in a few bags to not cause damage she looked at me with a glare and turned around to the register where her cell phone was sitting and while she was waiting for my transaction to go through she was texting a friend. Her name was Nicole. The bag ripped as she handed it to me. I looked at her and said maybe now I can have another bag for the frames. She didn't respond to me. Today, I was in and looking at the fimo with my daughter and a guy who was putting product back from returns looked at us and said "ummmm I need to get in there" we moved down a bit , still interested in buying the fimo, when he said "well, I need to get in there as well." My response to him was "I guess it's more important for you to get in here than us shop and spend money in your store. He didn't care. Every time I have shopped at this location all of the associates are miserable, not welcoming and make it a horrible experience. I am a general of a large retailer and I would never allow my customers to ever be treated this way. The cashiers hate their jobs and do not talk to the customer. I have spent a lot of money over the years at this location and do not feel valued as a customer. They need a whole turnover in staff as well as management to save this disgusting store.

Michaels online customer service agent ended up losing money for a local michaels store. I asked if michaels did free to store shipping much like home depot or walmart will do so that you can pickup the item in store. This would have allowed me to go to the local store, pick up the item and shop instore for the rest of the items for last minute gifts. However acording to the customer service agent (emily) this was not done. I had the item shipped to home with paid shipping and I will not be patronizing my local Michaels store as I can shop elsewhere fot the same items. Way to conduct business and sabatoge your own retail stores. Merry Christmas!

Couldn't believe what I witnessed. Myself and my daughter were there and witnessed a store manager cursing and swearing at and about other employees. I will not be returning to this location.

My daughter just received a bracelet making kit for her birthday, purchased at Michael's. Unfortunately, she already has this kit so we were gladly going to exchange it for something else that the store offers- she loves it there! When I called and said I didn't have a reciept the lady told me that was fine, you could exchange it for Michael's money, but that they take 20% off of it's price. What a terrible disappointment. I have never EVER been to a store that takes money off a return. I will think twice about giving them my business now if the same thing can be found at another store.

It is normally still very good but I needed a spray for my ceramics and saleslady in particular who had actually just started working today(October 30) helped me a lot and kept searching until I got exactly what I needed. Christina really helped me

your employees at this location are very rude too almost everyone that enter this store, and some of these employees have been known to threaten potential customers, by telling them to stay out all together or else, either a scene will be created, or a fight will happen, to even threaten to vomit on them. now that is some serious ghetto crap right there i know for a fact that i will not be returning to this particular store anytime soon..

I was given a partial refund on jewelry making stretch string a few days ago, I bought the wrong size and only needed to exchange it. I have spent a lot of money in your store's, I don't always pay with a charge card and with out the proof of payment, no full exchange or refund. To bad this company would loose customers over $2. I cant believe your exchange policy. great spenders like me in your stores should be rewarded, not made to feel like your a thief. I did have plenty of recipts, just not the correct one thank god for Hobby lobby and joanns

Michaels is a great store. The only issue I have is that I have to limit myself to one project at a time ,(lol) Helpful staff and great layout. Thank you for great customer service.

Quality of product is very good, but prices are high compared to other stores of the same quality. Staff rarely help. I go because of quality only and when items are on sale.

Went to Michaels to get something framed for Christmas but was too late the deadline had passed. The customer service rep I dealt with was amazing!! She told me I was too late for Christmas framing then went and found the perfect frame for me to do it myself which was also on sale 40% Off, Bonus!! This was an odd size so I was really surprised that I could even get a frame that size without customizing it. She even walked with me as I was looking for something else was very friendly found everything I needed. This makes me want to go back to this location as I have been to other locations never received this type of customer service.
